Travel in the Islamic religion
Travel in the Islamic religion is of importance as it has multiple purposes and benefits and contributes to nourishing the soul, strengthening faith, trusting and contemplating the power of the Almighty Creator and striving for sustenance and other purposes and benefits. The most authoritative of Islamic lawThe Qur’an states that Muslims are “travelers on earth” and encourages them to explore other cultures and learn from them. Muslim travelers also spread Islamic knowledge and advocacy throughout the world through their travel and migration to these places, and this helped in the formation of many different cultures.
Hajj travel:
Traveling for religious purposes such as Hajj, every year millions of Muslims from all over the world perform Hajj to fulfill their religious duty during this Hajj, visit holy places such as the Kaaba and perform various religious rituals
Traveling for Umrah:
Other forms of travel for religious purposes include the Umrah, which can be performed at any time of the year and includes visiting holy places, circumambulation, striving, prayer and supplication, and after completing them, also visiting Medina, visiting the tomb of the Prophet and all the landmarks in Thebes.
A Muslim may be forced to travel outside his home country for various purposes for treatment, education, or in search of work and many other purposes where travel is permissible. Indeed, our Islamic religion encouraged and urged us to do so in His saying, come, (He it is Who made the earth submissive for you, so walk in its fields and eat of His provision, and to Him is the resurrection) Truthful God the great
Travel in the guidance of our Holy Prophet:
Our Holy Prophet Muhammed, may God bless him and grant him peace, himself traveled a lot, visited many different countries and taught his followers the importance of tolerance, understanding, and peaceful coexistence. He also taught that it is important to be generous with strangers, no matter where they come from or what religion they practice. This message was conveyed through generations, inspiring Muslim travelers to be hospitable when visiting other countries and to be the best ambassadors of Islam
We also find that our noble Prophet urged his companions to emigrate and travel to Abyssinia when oppression, bachelors, and strife by the infidels and polytheists intensified on them, and he told them that there is a just king with whom no one is
oppressed.
Rules urged by the Islamic religion to travel:
No matter where Muslims travel, they must abide by certain rules and regulations prescribed by Islamic law. These rules include avoiding places where there is foul play or obscenity, refraining from drinking alcohol, dressing undressed, refraining from gambling, not engaging in usury, respecting other cultures, and disclosing Peace
Islamic traditions also encourage travelers to practice their faith while on the road. Travelers should ensure that they perform prayers at appropriate times and observe religious customs such as fasting during Ramadan. They should also look for mosques in their destination countries so that they can participate in worship with other Muslims.
